The Million Dollar Women's Campaign

The Million Dollar Women's Campaign
It will take an estimated $33MM to build all four HomeSafe facilities. To help reach this goal, a team of successful businesswomen and entrepreneurs formed the Million Dollar Women's Campaign. This group is challenged with raising $1 million dollars from individuals, primarily women, by June 2002 for the second HomeSafe facility located in San Jose. Join us now and become a Friendraiser.

Under the co-leadership of Debra Engel and Deborah Barber, former business executives, this group has been leveraging contacts and approaching high net worth individuals for financial and in-kind gifts for HomeSafe San Jose.

To date, achievements include successful fundraising efforts for the San Jose facility, a recently released educational video about women transforming from victims of domestic violence to survivors, a community education program, and increased public awareness of the issues surrounding domestic violence and homelessness.

"Homes, communities, and workplaces are not immune from the effects of domestic violence. It is time for increased domestic violence prevention, education, advocacy, and community action. HomeSafe does all of this while providing a role model housing and services sanctuary for victims of violence. Joining the Million Dollar Women's Campaign to raise needed funds for the second HomeSafe San Jose facility is just one way of helping out."
