“On behalf of the Support Network, the Decathlon Club and our
combined staffs and volunteers, we want to thank everyone who
participated in making the first annual
“Decathlon Club Charity Doubles Tournament”
a roaring success, enjoyed by all members of the tennis community and
their fans and supporters. In addition to the tournament play, the
Serving Skills contest, a silent auction and a BBQ, everyone enjoyed
the Decathlon Club venue, wonderful weather and the energy and enthusiasm
of the spirited on-court competition.
Beyond the tennis, however, lies another story of generous and
community minded corporate sponsors, tennis players and friends
whose contributions ensure that the
work done every day at the Support Network continues for women and children
in the throes of domestic violence. Our residential shelter, support
groups, counseling and therapy sessions, toll free hot-line, victims and
legal advocacy work and other empowerment services could not continue
without the support of contributors who recognize the need to help others
in our community. Thank you so much for your participation, contribution
and caring. See you at next year’s event which we promise will be bigger
and better!”
